To be eligible for kindergarten, children must be 5 years old by September 30, 2020. Families should bring an original birth certificate or passport if child is of an international background, a Social Security Card (preferred but not required), and two proofs of county residency displaying the same physical address (please see website for accepted forms of proof of residency). The International & ESOL Office at 434-296-6517 is available to assist parents who are non-native English speakers. Learn about how we honor the needs of the young child while laying the foundation for later academic work, within a play-based program. Activities will include grinding grain, carding wool and coloring with beeswax crayons.
