SUMMARY:Day-Off Camp: Norse Navigators
DESCRIPTION:Set sail on a Viking adventure full of fun and discovery! Build your own shield\, listen to Viking stories\, and play exciting games inspired by the fearless Norse seafarers. \nSchool may be out\, but that doesn’t mean the discovery has to stop! The Virginia Discovery Museum offers Day-Off Camps for children in preschool and early elementary throughout the school year when Charlottesville and Albemarle County public schools close for teacher work days. These half-day camps provide active and engaging enrichment opportunities around changing themes\, plus campers enjoy a special playtime in the galleries before the Museum opens to the public. \nExplore helpful educational resources in our blogs for Cville families—from how to identify your child’s learning style to ways parents can support homework success to navigating college admissions. And don’t forget to keep up with our local school news for Charlottesville and Albemarle County. Sign up for our free CharlottesvilleFamily e-Mag so you’ll receive weekly or monthly (you choose!) family news and events right in your inbox. Plus\, meet the amazing local businesses and partners who help families thrive in our community.
