Flow Lactation Care was founded in 2022 by Ashley Fore, a local nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Her vision? To provide expert, judgment-free breastfeeding support in the comfort of families’ homes. Today, she offers both in-home and office visits through Kindred Cville, along with prenatal classes and feeding essentials for local families.
A Business Born From Mentorship and Motherhood
Ashley’s journey began under the guidance of her mentor Lou Lamb, a nationally respected lactation consultant. Inspired to continue Lou’s legacy, Ashley launched her own practice—while raising two young children and navigating a pandemic. As a mom herself, she understands firsthand the value of flexibility and support during the early parenting years.
Community-Focused, Insurance-Friendly Care
From accepting Aetna insurance from the start to launching a community pump donation program, Flow Lactation stands out for its accessibility and outreach. The practice makes essential supplies more available through its “donation dresser” at Kindred and partners with organizations like Stepping Stone for fundraising efforts that benefit families in need.
