Welcome to Moms Lit Society, the CharlottesvilleFamily Book Club
The Moms Lit Society is a quarterly Charlottesville book club hosted by CharlottesvilleFamily magazine in partnership with Bluebird & Co. bookstore.
We meet on select Tuesdays at 6:30 pm in Starr Hill Brewery in the Dairy Market. It’s a cozy space and a welcoming community where you can enjoy a drink, browse books, and join in meaningful conversation.

November Moms Lit Society Meeting
Join us on November 17, 2026 for a book club featuring Rachel McRady’s Sun Seekers.
Rachel McRady’s debut novel is a contemporary family drama. It follows a precocious six-year-old who breaks her grandfather out of his nursing home because she believes she can save him from his dementia, and her estranged parents who must put aside their own differences to bring her home. Drawing from Rachel’s experience with dementia in her own family, it explores caregiving, generational trauma, family bonds, and the enduring love of parents and children.
