Meet the Mompreneur Finalists: Karyn Wolfe Life & Image Coaching
When Charlottesville pediatrician Dr. Karyn Wolfe saw more and more of her teen patients struggling with self-esteem, anxiety, and identity, she knew they needed something beyond what a standard medical appointment could offer. That realization sparked the launch of Karyn Wolfe Life & Image Coaching, a practice dedicated to helping preteen and teen girls ages 10–22 build resilience, advocate for themselves, and embrace their authentic selves.
Karyn draws on 18 years of pediatric experience to provide one-on-one coaching sessions tailored to each girl’s needs. Topics range from body image and academic stress to identity exploration, relationships, and future planning. What makes her approach unique is the deep trust she builds with each client—and her ability to offer flexible, in-person sessions in comfortable, client-preferred locations.
A Purpose-Driven Career Shift Inspired by Teens
Although entrepreneurship wasn’t part of her original plan, Karyn was driven by her passion for supporting adolescent girls beyond the clinical setting. She now balances her role as a pediatric hospitalist with her growing coaching practice, offering the kind of time and attention teens often don’t receive in traditional healthcare environments.
A Unique Resource for Local Families
As the only dedicated life coach for teen girls in the Charlottesville area, Karyn fills an important gap in youth mental and emotional support. Her combined expertise in medicine and coaching allows her to serve both young clients and their families, offering additional insight when further evaluation or care is needed. She creates a safe, empowering space where girls can explore mindfulness, intuitive self-care, goal-setting, and more.
