Expectant Couples Workshop

September 19 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Having a child is one of life’s greatest joys and greatest challenges! Most couples spend time thinking about their hopes for delivery, parenting, and their little one to-be, but less time thinking about maintaining the relational sustenance of their partnership. Having kids can be a relational stressor, but it can also be a beautiful opportunity for deepened connection. This workshop aims to prepare you relationally for the adjustment to parenthood and point you toward each other as you enter this life stage.

We’ll cover topics such as:

How will you maintain connection to your partner?

What is secure attachment and why is it important?

What is “good enough” parenting?

How will you navigate shared responsibilities?

What are the implications of a stressed out nervous system and your relationship?

What about sex?

Let’s get into it!

This workshop is ideal for expecting and newly postpartum couples. Even if this isn’t your first kiddo, come learn about the neurobiology of attachment and sustaining connection for a lifetime!

Led by Licensed Professional Counselor, Kristin Morgan who has 12 years of experience in perinatal mental health. Kristin has also been trained in Transformative Couples Therapy and believes in the power of secure attachment.
