Wood-Fired Pizza Cooking Class

Heat up the kitchen with homemade pizza this winter! Start this signature cooking class by gathering around Pippin Hill’s wood-burning oven and learning how to make your own pizza dough. Once you’ve perfected the art of the pizza toss, you’ll experiment with a variety of toppings and flavor profiles, from the classic margarita to innovative seasonal favorites.

Explore our Culinary Getaway Package: Pair your class with a stay at the historic Crossroads Inn for the ultimate midweek escape. Enjoy food, wine, and relaxation, just down the Hill from Pippin, with pasta cooking as a central theme.

About the Cooking Class Experience

Participants will receive a welcome glass of bubbly and enjoy a guided tour of the Pippin Gardens {weather permitting}. Afterward, venture into the kitchen for an interactive cooking demonstration. Then, they’ll break into groups to dive into hands-on pasta cooking. Work through each recipe together while sipping on Pippin Hill wine. During this pasta cooking class, participants will truly experience Italian culinary traditions. After the lesson, guests will gather in our Tasting Room for a family-style dinner to enjoy their culinary creations alongside additional dishes prepared by our kitchen team.

Upon arrival, please check in with our team. They will provide you with 2 drink tickets, redeemable for pre-selected red or white Pippin Hill wine. You will also receive the recipes to follow along and an apron for the evening. The price of your ticket covers a $150 class fee and a 20% service charge. Please be aware the listed ticket price includes all applicable sales taxes as required by law in Virginia. Each pasta cooking class is a complete and enriching experience.
