CharlottesvilleFamily Opens Nominations for 2026 Doing Good Marketing Grant for Local Children’s Nonprofits

Ivy, VA – CharlottesvilleFamily Magazine is now accepting nominations for its 2026 Doing Good Marketing Grant, which awards a full year of marketing support to a small nonprofit serving children and families in Charlottesville and Albemarle County. The biennial ‘Doing Good’ Marketing Grant reflects CharlottesvilleFamily Magazine’s commitment to uplifting organizations that make a positive difference. By providing essential marketing resources, the grant aims to amplify the missions of local nonprofits, fostering a stronger, more connected community.

Offered every two years, the grant awards the winning organization a marketing package that includes consultations and digital features, print placements and social/email promotion throughout 2027 valued at over $10,000 across CharlottesvilleFamily’s print, online, and social channels, helping a small team reach thousands of local parents without stretching its budget.

“Some of the most important work for kids in our community is done by organizations with no marketing budget at all,” said Jennifer Bryerton, publisher and editor-in-chief. “After nearly 30 years of serving Charlottesville families, this is one way we can put our audience to work for the people doing that work.”

Anyone can nominate an eligible organization, and nonprofits may nominate themselves. Nominations are due November 10, 2026. Finalists will be announced for community voting November 18 through 25, and the winner will be named on Giving Tuesday, December 1.
